Chia-hsun Wu - User Interface Designer Chia-hsun Wu is in the Industrial Design Department of Asus Computer, one of the BusinessWeek’s Global 1200 companies. Prior to this current job, he is an experienced software engineer in the world’s largest laptop manufacturer, Quanta Computer, focusing on man-machine interface of handheld devices.
Chia-hsun has gained a Master’s degree of Computer Science from North Carolina State University, USA in 2003. His research interests include Human-computer Interaction, Usability Engineering and Human Factors Engineering. [ Skills and Abilities ]

Born and living in Hong Kong for 23 years, love and believe in design, music
too. I am self-motivated, organized person, strong in aesthetic sense, execution skills and concise in communication, willing to share and explore. I am currently student of BA in Applied and Media Arts held jointly by The Art School and PolyU SPEED. I have finished Higher Diploma in Communication Design in The Art School, Hong Kong Arts Centre in August 2005. Have 2 years experience in the web design industry. Before that, I have obtained Diploma in Digital Media Studies at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwun Tong). I am currently in the committee of the joint graduation show preparation of The Art School. From October 2005, I am joining the VQUEST Workshop held by Tommy Li Design Workshop. I have also been helper in the preparation of the icograda design week in Hong Kong, and joint the icograda design week workshop section on 21 _ 23 January 2006. My favorite designers are Peter Saville, Bill Cahan, Sugiura Kohei, Hara Kenya, Josef M. Brockmann, Alvar Aalto, Zaha Hadid, Hussein Chalayan, Alexandre Herchcovtich. I also like design style of constructivism, and the way modernism developed in the Scandinavia. Beside design and drawings, I like to listen music, like Electronica, Post-Rock and Jazz, I also play drums; and I like to watch films too, my favorite directors are Kieslowsky, Roy Andersson, David Lynch, David Fincher, Tim Burton, Isao Yukisada, Takeshi Kitano. Reading is my favorite too, my favorite writers are Muramaki Haruki and Wong Pik Wen; and my favorite sport is swimming. |

I'm a junior in Musashino Art University.I'm majoring inVisual Communication Design.
I'm learning communications through the child andplay.Our class planned the workshop of two days intended for the schoolchild last summer. I learnt a lot as the difficulty and interesting that made up one the one of the group. I was surprised at the creativity of the child. I'm interested in the education program of the museum. In this workshop,I want to learn the technique for pursuing the theme through the group work of amultinational and multi culture,and to enjoy the process. |
