Title: | Chew Chew Straw | |
Concept: | Everyone knows since they are small that "chewing" is a very important part of eating. However, as the result of pursuing convenience, the number of chewing strokes in the eating habit of modern people is on the decline. The elderly in the hospital are being fed liquid pasty food simply to avoid the danger of choking on food. When I saw these situations, I realized the problem of “eating" the modern society is facing. Liquid food is fed through the mouth. Then couldn't they at least be given the opportunity to chew? With this thought in mind, I came up with the Chew-chew Straw which makes it possible to transfer liquid food through the act of chewing. |

Judge's Comments: | This work starts out very well by focusing on the importance of chewing meals well, but it is unfortunate that no trial piece was presented at the final screening. It is difficult to evaluate this idea without actually trying out a prototype. The shape of the straw in the first-stage plan was better for its simplicity. | |
