Title: MATCHBOX CARD@Light up your life

Comcept: I started creating cards in order to express gratitude through something tangible to those who helped me out during my study abroad experience in England. I didn't have enough money at the time to give presents. So I thought of making cards which enfolded my dear feelings. Through this experience, I learned how wonderful it is to design something for someone else. At the same time I realized the appeal of using cards to convey one's feelings to others.
This card is made in the shape of a match box. Each four cards I designed delivers a heartfelt message; "Light up your life." "Thank you for keeping me warm like a warm lamplight." A window and a message appears when the card is taken out of the "matchbox". A little picture appears when the window is opened.

Coment: Using a matchbox in a design is not new, but the idea to make it into a greeting card that bears communication is very unique.
The work displays consistent and careful consideration from the concept to the end product. The illustration has a warm feel to it and there is uniformity to the design. Matches may slip out of sight in the near future. It was intriguing that, at such a time, the creator chose matchboxes as the carrier of messages.
