Title: | HOHODUE - thinking is doing | |
|
||
Comcept: | Thinking and imagining, "for someone
else." Are they experiencing any trouble? Worried about anything? Is there anything I can do? When we think about someone else, our "thoughts" already involve "action." But as we grow older and physical condition withers, it becomes difficult to take action. When thinking about someone else, you might find yourself resting your chin in your hand. I suggest "HOHODUE," like the hand you rest your chin on, a tool to help you move from thought to action. The target is people who are still able to lead an "independent life" without care from others. I suggest a cane which will work as a "nursing care prevention" tool. *Material: Cherry Walking sticks available on the market today are made mainly of aluminum and have a cold image. Most of them are made for elderly who need high level of care. I used a material that can transform the cane into a kind of furniture and friendly to the user. *Image of product in use The image is of a woman. Since women have many house choirs to take care of, the cane was made for in home use. I attempted to make the cane closer to the user by using wood with its furniture-like texture. |

Coment: | The HOHODUE is a unique cane created especially
for elderly women with the aim of reducing or eliminating the need for nursing-care
by providing sturdy support during household chores As the cost of nursing care for the elderly is expected to increase rapidly, a tool that can help people remain independent will lead to reducing such costs. As there are some concerns about the strength of the prototype, further modification will be necessary. |
