What stands before us is not what we see. What we see is the name of what we are seeing. It is the name that fixes the picture and compares it against what we know. Names, though, cannot assure us of what is behind what we are seeing.
The International New Designers Workshop 2002 provids young designers and students a chance to wander back behind, inside, beneath, in between.

Participants: Total 32 young designers and researchers from Croatia, Australia, Mexico, Lithuania, Bulgaria, China, Taiwan, U.S. A., The Netherlands and Japan. The Japanese participants included the in-house designers from Brother Industries Ltd. and elsewhere, university students and graduate students from Aichi Prefectual University of Fine Arts and Music, Nagoya Zokei University of Art and Design, Nagoya City University and Seian University of Art and Design.
