Northern latitude of 39 degrees: Building a Bridge across the Pacific Ocean|OAC Creative Volunteer Calendar 2016 Exhibition
The Organization of Advertising Creation (OAC) has been pursuing social contribution activities. After the 311 Great East Japan Earthquake, in particular, the OAC has been supporting a town called Otsuchi in the Tohoku region that has suffered serious damage by the Earthquake. The OAC has started making calendars and sending them to Otsuchi for the people who are still living in temporary houses until now. The calendars consist of heart-soothing visuals and messages to encourage the people during emotionally difficult times.
Northern latitude of 39 degrees: Building a Bridge across the Pacific Ocean
Otsuchi and Fort Bragg are sister towns that are located under the northern latitude of 39 degrees. In order to further strengthen exchanges and promote communication between Otsuchi and Fort Bragg, the OAC is inviting the two towns to a new calendar project this year. We believe this will not only be a good opportunity for the sister towns to get to know each other better, but also lead to the economical revitalization of the two communities.
Gift from the Ocean CALENDAR 2016: Otsuchi & Fort Bragg
As for the theme of CALENDAR 2016, the OAC has planned to focus on the Pacific Ocean that lies between Japan and America. In this calendar, we will be introducing the wealth of the Ocean and the lives of the people who are closely connected to the Ocean. In this way, the calendar will not only become a tool that appeals the two towns, but also bring happiness to every person.
