NUSA Workshop for New Year Season: Kagamidai Making Experience

In creators shop Loop (Loop) where creators aiming to establish themselves in Nagoya area sell their products for a limited period, each tenant holds various events in order to bridge him/herself with users.
This time, “NUSA” which appears from November 23 – January 5 in the 2024 session, will hold a workshop to make a “Kagamidai (a stand for Kagami-mochi (round rice-cake))” to be displayed during the New Year season. Using Kiso cypress as the material, the workshop will use the “Sanpo (a small wooden stand on which to place an offering)” technique of traditional crafts of Owari Butsugu (buddhist altar utensils) to shave, bend, and hollow out the material. You can choose from four types of foot hole shapes (normal/snake/pine/sunrise).
