Targeting SMBs in Aichi Pref., the Aichi Prefecture Design Management Utilization Promotion Project aims to promote understanding of the overview of design driven management, its merits and necessity, and to introduce it into management strategies.
In this program, you will get an overview of “design driven management”, deepen your understanding of design, and learn problem-solving methods that incorporate design thinking over two days. Why don’t you reexamine your business vision by incorporating the design conception method into your corporate management?

1. Lecture “Business Vitality! Design Driven Management”
Lecturer: Minoru Sugino, Design Producer, M1_Project
It explains in an easy-to-understand manner the basic meaning and role of design, the overview of “design driven management” that incorporates design into management, and merits and necessity. There is a commentary on why design skills are necessary for corporate management.
2. Case Study

“SOBAJIMA can COMPANY Co., Ltd.” as been featured in numerous media and has become a hot topic due to its organizational reform and new product development that introduced design driven management. She will talk about the reason for introducing design driven management, practice, effects, and future development.

Program:
1. Lecture “Design Thinking: How to utilize in business”
Lecturer & Facilitator: Minoru Sugino, Design Producer, M1_Project
What is “design” that transcends concepts such as color and shape and is also used in product development and organizational reform? Product development, branding, and company vision building based on ideas that designers create designs, learn about design thinking based on various case studies.
2. Group Work
A practical workshop based on issues (themes) solicited in advance from participating companies. This is a hands-on program where you can experience the design thinking flow process, which is the core of design management.
*The theme of the group work is planned to be an issue that companies actually faces. Please let us know the issue that you want to solve when you apply.

Targets: Managers, Administrators, Planning Developers, PR Managers, etc. and those who want to learn design driven management practically of SMBs in Aichi pref.
