| Concept of the work | Life breeding is a love journey, but it needs to overcome many hurdles. Our purpose is to let pregnant women feel sense of security, joyful of the newborn life. We originally provide an interactive multimedia platform with professional and humanly interface to our potential mothers. All users can have their exclusive pregnancy CDs. Besides introducing the progress of pregnancy and fetal growth, we pay more attention on maternal nutrition and health. We also emphasize the importance of pregnancy planning to reduce the accident of miscarriage or abortion. Now, let's start the love journey! Our aim is to establish good communication between doctors and patients through the media. |
| Judge's Comment | Correct knowledge regarding pregnancy is important information that should be known not only by women but also by men. The theme of this contest, "Design to Empower the Future", requires that designers show the ability to change society. I believe that the event of pregnancy is deeply linked with gender, race, the natural providence of the human body, the realization of world peace and a variety of other issues and key words which are vital to the world today. Depending on the country, there are probably some cases in which it is taboo to openly discuss the issue of pregnancy. This work is an outstanding tool which uses internet media to enable anyone to gather information and increase knowledge. In the future, the work will develop to include applications which can be provided throughout the world in languages such as Chinese, Japanese, English and Swahili. It is written that the concept of the designer is to achieve smooth communication between doctors and pregnant women. However, it would have been better if the work defined specific issues in the relationship between doctors and pregnant women, and if it contained clear proposals for resolving those issue. |
