Title of work | Save Energy, Save Me |
Concept of the work | People always apply a piece of sheet lightly on the wind slit to check if an air conditioner is on. By trimming the sheet into the shapes of endangered animals, such as a polar bear or a penguin, we perceive their agony as they struggle for life on the slit. Stop global warming simply by turning off the air conditioner when you leave. Save energy, save a million life. |
Judge's Comment | Although this idea is simple, its theme deals with a large environmental problem. The work clearly transmits the message of "stop wasting energy". However, it also seems that the work does nothing to actually solve the problem. This idea is furthered by how the penguin or polar bear simply hangs alone from the air conditioner after it is turned off. |
