TitleF | Teabag Coaster: Color Your Tea Break
Concept: | The Teabag Coaster has a nearly identical form and uses the same packaging method as a traditional saperatly packaged teabag. The difference is that the Teabag Coaster uses partially compressed paper to emboss graphics on the package. When the tea is finished brewing, this package can be used as a coaster for the tea bag. When the user puts the wet tea bag on the package, the tea spreads more rapidly on the less compressed area of the package. As a result, the embossed part of the package shows a beautiful brownish color, revealing the pattern. Also, because the package absorbs the excess water from the tea bag the user can enjoy tea more neatly. The Teabag Coaster makes tea break richer by providing both functionality and aesthetic value.
Judge's Comments: | This work aims to provide a charming solution to one of life's little problems. The artistic idea of enjoying the patterns that emerge from the blotted tea is interesting, but the size of a tea bag package probably will not allow absorption of a sufficient amount of water. Further study is needed to actually create the package as conceptualized.
